Wulep

Wooly Tea Tree

Lepsospermum lanigerum

Wulep is a shrub which grows from 2 to 4 metres tall with narrow, hairy, silver-green leaves. It flowers from September to January, bearing white flowers.

The Wurundjeri-woiwurrung would use the wood of larger individuals to make spears for hunting kangaroos.

It grows in many soil types, but prefers deep, sandy soil in full sun to semi shade.
