Galirdiwan
Hazel Pomaderris
Pomaderris aspera
Galirdiwan is a small tree with wrinkled dark green leaves and grey bark which grows from 5 to 12 metres tall. It blooms from October to May with bunches of small white flowers.
The Wurundjeri-woiwurrung would use its branches as pegs for hanging animal skins out to dry.
It grows best in moist, well drained soil from semi to full shade.
