Dalurp is a small plant which grows from 0.5 to 1.7 metres tall, similar in appearance to dandelions, sporting yellow flowers throughout most of the year.

The Wurundjeri-woiwurrung eat the leaves and stems of the plant.

It grows best in wet soil in marshes and salt-marshes in areas with full sun.
