Bulait
Native Cherry Tree
Exocarpos cupressiformis
Bulait is a medium-sized tree with brown bark and drooping, needle-like leaves and grows from 3 to 8 metres tall. It mainly flowers from September to May.
The Wurundjeri-woiwurrung use it to make spear throwers and its fruits are edible.
It grows best in poor-nutrient and shallow soil under taller eucalyptuses as it is hemiparasitic on their root systems. It grows in full sun to semi shade.
